I would think the Bios would show the new hard drive. Gigabyte i've seen this problem with laptops, as laptops often don't use generic IDE/AHCI drivers. Reseat (disconnect and reconnect) the Hard Drive connections (both SATA and power connectors) and check if the computer boots.
Srsly? how do i get it the other half of the drive back??!! A normal Windows DVD will work if you have that. Uefi I am doing the exact same tings like the tutorial but it just won't set it to an Offline Windows version.
