but when I try to connect through ethernet in the task bar its showing the connection but I cannot connect to internet. I had the same problem with ZONEALARM.... when i uninstall avast, still saying that my connection has a limited and no internet connection. I could ping and even do ftp but failed no matter which browser I used.
please help. I have seen problems similar to yours where connectivity is blocked altogether. To test this theory, I took my PC which worked perfectly fine, and manually applied the SP1 update. A lot of home computer buffs use thier skills to troubleshoot/repair a problem that isn't there.
