I first did takeown from C:\ then icacls also from there. Nope. "Access denied" on command line commands and through the Explorer context menu option "Take ownership" added with Ultimate Windows Tweaker. Btw mine is Windows 7 Home Premium, so gpedit is missing frm my PC and also there is no section of 'Local Users and Groups' in Computer Management. Why should we have to download a third party application to access our own files?
You know so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want to…HaHa). I went through the whole procedure, listed here and got the same results. I cant move ANYTHING. It took forever and failed for a bunch of files including the one I wanted. "Access denied", of course. - Take ownership of the file.
